Introduction:

Around Dhaulagiri Adventure leads you to spectacular panorama of mountains on daily walks, one of the best and dramatic trekking. As the trail leads from low warm areas of Pokhara-Beni towns towards cooler alpine zone of thick coniferous forest of tall pines-oaks-rhododendron and fir tree lines and heading for some day in pure wilderness within pure wilderness of moraine-ice and glaciers beneath towering North Face of Mt. Dhaulagiri at 8,167 m high with tumbling Ice Falls.

One of the few treks in the Himalaya region where you can follow the river right to its glacial source within massive glaciers of Dhaulagiri and adjoining satellite peaks from I –II – III to Dhaulagiri groups of peaks which extends towards Mustang and Dolpo regions.

A fascinating adventure around Dhaulagiri, where our journey starts with an exciting overland drive towards West Nepal at scenic Pokhara, adorned with natural beauties of high Annapurna Himalaya, rolling green hills and serene lakes.

From Pokhara heading towards due north west past the town of Beni and Darbang around Mygdi districts and then walking along the raging Mygdi River upstream through remote rural Magar villages of Bagar and then into lovely alpine woodland away from human settlement and villages for some days reaching an arid and mountainous zone of moraine-ice and remorseless glaciers in between massive Dhaulagiri mountain range at base camp with overloaded views of peaks and dramatic scenery.

After an exciting and fabulous time within northern side of Dhaulagiri journey continues over a high French Pass at 5,360 m to reach a verdant hidden valley, a summer pasture fields for yaks and other cattle’s of the nearby beautiful villages Marpha and Tukuche situated below Kaligandaki River valley.

Crossing a final pass over Thapa / Dhampus high ridges to reach back into vegetation and tree lines and downhill to Kaligandaki River gorge and valley within lovely Marpha-Tuckuche-Kalapani villages of Thakali people, and then heading back towards warmer areas to Beni town for the drive back to scenic Pokhara and towards Kathmandu, on concluding a magnificent Around Dhaulagiri Adventure with grand services of Xtreme Climbers and its expert guides.
