Embark on a thrilling 4WD jeep adventure to Upper Mustang, exploring the most stunning valleys of Mustang while soaking in spectacular mountain views and experiencing the rich ethnic cultures of Nepal. This guided tour is tailored for visitors who desire to witness the ancient wonders of Mustang without the need to trek all the way to the destination, whether due to time constraints or physical limitations.
The ultimate destination of this adventure is Lo-Manthang, the historic capital of the Mustang region. Lo-Manthang has long captivated intrepid explorers since tourists were first permitted to enter the forbidden Kingdom of Mustang. Despite its unforgiving, arid, and high-altitude mountain desert landscape, along with the challenging trekking routes and costly special permits required to enter Upper Mustang, the allure of Lo-Manthang has remained strong.
Now, with the introduction of a rugged jeep road that traverses the spectacular Kali Gandaki Valley between the towering Annapurna and Dhaulagiri mountain ranges, travelers can journey beyond the Himalayas onto the Tibetan Plateau and reach Lo-Manthang by 4WD vehicle. While the journey has become more accessible, some elements of Mustang's allure remain unchanged. The ochre-colored, wind-eroded wilderness of Mustang still retains its untamed beauty, and obtaining a special permit remains a prerequisite for exploration.
