Itinerary

Day 01 - Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) Kathmandu: Arrival in Kathmandu [1300 m/4264 ft] Arrive at any time, Xtreme Climbers vehicle and represent we'll pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport and take you to the hotel. Your included activities consist of refreshments, an introduction to your guide, as well as an introduction on The Trek. Meal includes: Breakfast

 

Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara: Morning flight of Drive to Pokhara: After breakfast, embark on a scenic (20-minute flight) or approximately (6 hours drive) from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Enjoy picturesque landscapes, including terraced fields and river valleys, en route.

Afternoon:

  • Afternoon: Check into your hotel in Pokhara.
  • Exploration: Spend the evening exploring the vibrant lakeside area of Pokhara, where you can enjoy lakeside walks and local eateries.

 

Day 03: Drive Pokhara to Nayapul or Birethanti, the starting point of your trek. Birdwatching: Begin birdwatching along the trail from Birethanti to Tikhe Dhunga. The area is rich in avian diversity with notable species such as the Black-chinned Babbler, Russet Sparrow, and Verditer Flycatcher.

Afternoon:

  • Trail Experience: Enjoy the scenic beauty and cultural immersion as you pass through several traditional villages.

Day 04: Tikhedhunga and Banthanti Birdwatching.

  • Hike: After breakfast, proceed to Banthanti, where the steep climb rewards you with exceptional views of the Annapurna and Machapuchare mountains.

Afternoon:

  • Birdwatching: Along the Ulleri trail, look for species like Thrushes, Finches, Bulbuls, and Treepies.

Day 05: Banthanti to Ghorepani

Activities of the day.

  • Morning Birdwatching: Early morning birdwatching around Banthanti.
  • Hike: Trek to Ghorepani through Rhododendron forests, where you may encounter species such as the Rufous Sibia, Himalayan Cuckoo, and Grey Bushchat.

Afternoon:

  • Exploration: Enjoy the forested trails and Himalayan scenery.

Day 06: Ghorepani to Tadapani via Poon Hill

Activities of the day.

  • Early Morning Hike: Ascend to Poon Hill (approximately 1 hour) to witness a breathtaking sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. Capture stunning panoramic views.
  • Morning Return: Descend to Ghorepani for breakfast.
  • Trek: Continue your trek to Tadapani (approximately 6-7 hours).

Afternoon:

  • Birdwatching: Spot various bird species along the trail, including the Himalayan Griffon, Rufous Sibia, and potentially the Golden-throated Barbet.
  • Accommodation & Meals: Overnight stay in a guesthouse in Tadapani Lodge / Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

 

Day 07: Tadapani to Ghandruk

Activities of the day.

  • Morning Trek: Depart from Tadapani and trek to Ghandruk (approximately 3-4 hours).

Afternoon:

  • Birdwatching: Explore Ghandruk, known for its rich birdlife due to its elevation and diverse habitats. Look for species such as the Common Magpie and Red-billed Leiothrix.
  • Accommodation & Meals: Overnight stay in Ghandruk / Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner

 

Day 08: Ghandruk to Nayapul – Return to Pokhara

Activities of the day.

  • Morning Trek: Descend from Ghandruk to Nayapul, passing through terraced fields and charming villages. The trek typically takes 4-6 hours.

Afternoon:

  • Drive: Return to Pokhara by vehicle.
  • Accommodation & Meals: Check into your hotel in Pokhara. Enjoy a relaxing evening after your trek./ Breakfast and Lunch

 

Day 09: Birdwatching in Pokhara – Fewa Lake and Pame

Activities of the day.

  • Morning Birdwatching: Visit Pame and Fewa Lake for wetland birdwatching. Observe species such as Ducks, Geese, Herons, Ibises, and Kingfishers.

Afternoon:

  • Exploration: Continue exploring the serene surroundings and enjoy additional birdwatching opportunities.
  • Accommodation: Return to Pokhara for an overnight stay.

 

Day 10: Pokhara to Kathmandu

Activities of the day.

  • Morning Travel: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu and Check into your hotel in Kathmandu.
  • Free Time: Use the afternoon for shopping, sightseeing, or relaxation.
  • Evening:
  • Optional: Enjoy a farewell dinner with traditional Nepali cuisine. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

 

Day 11: Departure day from Kathmandu (12,64m): Today your trip comes to an end. After breakfast at your hotel, you now have free time. If it is the day that you fly back home/ onward to your travel destination, we will transfer you to the airport on time. Or you could extend your stay or you may get our assistance for additional activities that you are interested in. Meal includes:Breakfast

 

NOTE: Flyback could be another option if you don’t wish to take a long drive back to KTM. Included Bed/Breakfast
