Prime Location:- Australian Camp (Thulo Kharka): The Australian Camp, locally known as Thulo Kharka, is a premier location for raptor watching in Nepal. Situated along the foothills of the Annapurna Base Camp trek, this area offers an excellent vantage point for observing raptors at eye level. The camp is located at an elevation of 1,764 meters, providing an ideal spot to see these magnificent birds up close. Thulo Kharka is accessible via the village of Kande, which lies approximately 35 kilometers northwest of Pokhara on the Baglung Highway. The trails leading to the Australian Camp traverse through oak-rhododendron forests and farmland, offering not only birdwatching opportunities but also breathtaking views of the Annapurna South and Machhapuchhare (The Fishtail) mountains. Best Time to Visit: The optimal time for raptor observation in Nepal is during the third and fourth weeks of November. Day 01 - Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) Kathmandu: Arrival in Kathmandu [1300 m/4264 ft] Arrive at any time, Xtreme Climbers vehicle and represent we'll pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport and take you to the hotel. Day 02: Kathmandu to Pokhara: Morning flight of Drive to Pokhara: After breakfast, embark on a scenic (20-minute flight) or approximately (6 hours drive) from Kathmandu to Pokhara, Enjoy picturesque landscapes, including terraced fields and river valleys, en route.
Afternoon:
- Afternoon: Check into your hotel in Pokhara.
- Exploration: Spend the evening exploring the vibrant lakeside area of Pokhara, where you can enjoy lakeside walks and local eateries.
Day 03: Drive from Pokhara to Kande and Trek to Australian Camp (Thulo Kharka) (1,764 m, 1.5 hours drive, 2 hours trek)
- Activities of the day: Depart from Pokhara in the morning and drive to Kande. From Kande, begin your trek to Australian Camp (Thulo Kharka), a prime raptor-watching location. The trek takes you through lush forests and traditional villages. Arrive at Thulo Kharka in the afternoon and settle into your lodge. In the evening, attend a briefing session on the raptor species you'll be observing.

Day 04: Raptor Watching at Australian Camp (Thulo Kharka)
- Activities of the day: Spend the entire day observing and photographing raptors. You'll start early to catch the raptors as they begin their migration. Watch as hundreds of raptors, including eagles and vultures, soar through the skies at eye level. Your guide will provide insights into the behavior and identification of these magnificent birds.

Day 05: Thulo Kharka to Ghandruk
- Activities of the day:
- Morning raptor photography session at Thulo Kharka.
- Trek to the traditional village of Ghandruk (approximately 5-6 hours).
- Evening exploration of Ghandruk and its surroundings.

- Ghandruk is a picturesque Gurung village offering stunning views of the Annapurna and Machhapuchhre (Fishtail) mountains. The village is also a great spot for birdwatching, with various species inhabiting the surrounding forests.
Day 06: Ghandruk to Pokhara
- Activities of the day:
- Morning trek from Ghandruk to Nayapul (approximately 4-5 hours).
- Drive back to Pokhara.
- Free afternoon in Pokhara for leisure activities or additional birdwatching at Fewa Lake.
- Details:
- The trek back to Pokhara offers another chance to capture the beautiful landscapes of the Annapurna region. Upon arrival in Pokhara, you can relax by the lake or explore the city's vibrant markets.
Day 07: Return to Kathmandu
- Activities of the day:
- Morning flight or drive back to Kathmandu.
- Afternoon free for shopping, exploring, or resting.
- Evening farewell dinner to celebrate the successful completion of the tour.
- Details:
- Return to Kathmandu where you can spend the afternoon exploring historical sites, shopping for souvenirs, or simply relaxing. The farewell dinner will be a time to share experiences and photos from your raptor photography adventure.
Day 08: Pokhara to Kathmandu
Activities of the day.
- Morning Travel: Drive or fly back to Kathmandu and Check into your hotel in Kathmandu.
- Free Time: Use the afternoon for shopping, sightseeing, or relaxation.
- Evening:
- Optional: Enjoy a farewell dinner with traditional Nepali cuisine. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.
Day 09: Departure day from Kathmandu (12,64m): Today your trip comes to an end. After breakfast at your hotel, you now have free time. If it is the day that you fly back home/ onward to your travel destination, we will transfer you to the airport on time. Or you could extend your stay or you may get our assistance for additional activities that you are interested in. Meal includes:Breakfast
