Day 01 - Arrive at Tribhuvan International Airport (KTM) Kathmandu: Arrival in Kathmandu [1300 m/4264 ft] Arrive at any time, Xtreme Climbers vehicle and represent we'll pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport and take you to the hotel. Your included activities consist of refreshments, an introduction to your guide, as well as an introduction on The Trek. Meal includes: Breakfast
Day 02: Preparation and Sightseeing Ride in Kathmandu
- Morning: Relaxed breakfast followed by gear and bike checks. Riders will receive MTB-WW merchandise, including branded jerseys and duffle bags.
- Afternoon: Short cultural ride around Kathmandu, visiting heritage sites like Swayambhunath (Monkey Temple) or Pashupatinath Temple.
Day 03: Transfer to Aarughat (122km, 6–7 hours)
- Activity: Drive from Kathmandu to Aarughat, the starting point of the trail.
- Highlights: Scenic journey through lush countryside, terraced fields, and winding rivers.
- Evening: Check-in at a local guesthouse. Explore the quaint town and stretch your legs.
Day 04: Ride from Aarughat to Machha Khola (25km, 1,000m Ascent)
- Activity: Begin the climb from Aarughat, navigating rocky trails and push-and-carry sections.
- Trail Highlights: Stunning views of the Budhi Gandaki River, cascading waterfalls, and terraced hillsides.
- Evening: Rest at a basic teahouse in Machha Khola, a small mountain village.
Day 05: Machha Khola to Jagat (25km, 1,050m Ascent)
- Activity: Tackle rocky, steep trails, with 80% of the journey involving pushing and carrying.
- Trail Highlights: Dramatic landscapes with towering cliffs, lush forests, and the roaring Budhi Gandaki River.
- Challenge: Increasingly tough sections, setting the tone for the adventure ahead.
- Evening: Overnight at a teahouse in Jagat, a charming village perched on a ridge.
Day 06: Jagat to Dyang (25km, 1,100m Ascent)
- Activity: A mix of riding and pushing, with forest trails and narrow mountain paths.
- Trail Highlights: Beautiful forests, charming villages, and the thrill of remote single-track sections.
- Challenge: The first 12 km are the hardest, requiring determination and endurance.
- Evening: Overnight at a simple teahouse in the secluded village of Dyang.
Day 07: Dyang to Namrung (20km, 1,250m Ascent)
- Activity: Tackle single-track trails, riding 60% of the time while pushing through the steeper sections.
- Trail Highlights: Breathtaking waterfalls and glimpses of snow-capped peaks.
- Evening: Rest in Namrung, a picturesque village with views of the Larkya Himal.
Day 08: Namrung to Samagaun (17km, 1,200m Ascent)
- Activity: Ride through traditional villages and visit a large monastery en route.
- Trail Highlights: Awe-inspiring views of the Manaslu Himal and cultural immersion.
- Evening: Overnight in Samagaun, with limited but available internet access.
Day 09: Samagaun to Dharamsala (13km, 1,000m Ascent)
- Activity: Start with a rideable 4km section, then push-and-carry to Samdo before a challenging climb to Dharamsala.
- Trail Highlights: Increasingly rugged trails with stunning alpine scenery.
- Challenge: High altitude makes the final 6km especially taxing.
- Evening: Overnight in Dharamsala, either in basic teahouse accommodation or tents.
Day 10: Dharamsala to Bhimthang via Larke Pass (14.5km, 700m Ascent)
- Activity: An early start for the toughest day of the tour—crossing Larke Pass (5,136m).
- Trail Highlights: Panoramic views of Manaslu, Larke Peak, and ice lakes.
- Descent: A thrilling 8km descent to Bhimthang, including technical rocky sections.
- Evening: Rest in Bhimthang with slightly improved facilities and breathtaking views.
Day 11: Bhimthang to Chyamche (32km, 600m Ascent)
- Activity: A long descent through forests and jeep tracks with flowing single-track sections.
- Trail Highlights: Cross a suspension bridge and merge with the Annapurna Circuit route.
- Evening: Overnight in Chyamche, reflecting on the stunning ride.
Day 12: Chyamche to Besi Sahar – Drive to Kathmandu (32km, 700m Ascent)
- Activity: Ride through jeep tracks to Besi Sahar before driving back to Kathmandu.
- Evening: Enjoy a farewell dinner with the group, celebrating the completion of the adventure.
Day 13: Final Departure, Your adventure in Nepal comes to an end today! There is nothing to do but trade emails with your travel companions and organize your photos. A representative from Xtreme Climbers will take you to the airport, approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight.
