Located in the Manaslu mountain range in the Gorkha district of Nepal, Larkya Peak is an awe-inspiring adventure to conquer its summit at 6,249 m (20,621 ft ) peak. Listed under Trekking Peak Climbing with a grade of 'Assez Difficile' “AD +” taken from the widely used and popular French / Swiss Alpine Climbing Classification. Open for climbing under the Nepal Mountaineering Association (NMA) Larkey Peak is one of the few to be climbed and permits have only been issued since 2002. Which is also spelled as Larke. Located within the massive Manaslu Himalaya and close to the famous Larke-la 5106 m pass. Tamang and Sherpa communities’ diverse cultures and traditions make the journey captivating & ever-memorable.
Open for foreign travelers Since 1991 the Manaslu region requires a special permit from the Government of Nepal to get entry in the Manaslu region. It is also home to the endangered Snow Leopard, Himalayan Black Bear, Red Panda, Grey Wolf, Musk Deer, Blue Sheep, Monkeys, and of course the ever-present Yaks that roam the grazing lands at high altitudes. There are believed to be 35 species of mammals, 110 species, 3 species of Reptiles, and between 1700-2000 species of flowering plants. People of Manaslu region are greatly influenced by the Tibetan lifestyle which can be easily seen during the entire trip. In fact, their day-to-day life depends on the Tibetan market.
Our adventure of the Larkya peak climbing journey starts following the Manaslu circuit trekking trail which begins from Soti Khola with a drive about 6-7 hrs from Kathmandu. From Soti Khola the trek gradually heads higher, initially to the base of Famous Larke-La Pass (5135m) and then on to your goal – Larke Peak (6219m). The 360-degree mesmerizing panoramic views of high Himalayas peaks such as Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Himlung Himal, Annapurna, and several other snow-capped peaks are the main attraction from the summit.

- Lodging & Fooding: Food 3 meals a day (BDL, including Tea and Coffee) along with accessible accommodation at Hotel/Lodge/Tea house/Camp during the trek and Basecamp. Well-managed base camp set up for members & Staff.
- Climbing Ropes and Equipment: All Necessary equipment for Camping during the trek and required (necessary fixed and dynamic main rope, ice bars, ice screws, snow bar, etc) during the climbing expedition period.

- Base Camp and Camp Above: Each member will have an individual North-Face VE-25 tent in Base Camp. Base Camp Above VE-25 North-FaceTents for Members (Sharing Basis) and Climbing Sherpa. Base camp above High Food will be provided for everyone. We will also provide you with the EPI Gas and Small Cooking Pot Set carried by the Climbing Sherpa Guide for Hot drinks and meals.
- Communication: A Radio Walkie-Talkie carried by will be carried by Climbing Sherpa and One Thuraya SAT Phone will be provided for emergency use only. For members (With an additional charge of $.5 per minute).

- Extra: Extra nights accommodation in Kathmandu In case of early arrival or late departure, early return from Trekking / Expedition (due to any reason) than the scheduled itinerary. Items of a personal nature, laundry expenses, tips. Any extra expenses arising out of various/unforeseen situations like natural calamities, landslides, political disturbances, strikes, changes in government regulations, etc.

- Summit Bonus: Summit bonus for climbing Sherpa $.750 minimum (If the company offers Full Board Services).
- Tips: Calculate 10% of the total trip budget amount for Base camp staff.

NOTE: Climbing Gears and Equipment belong to Xtreme Climbers used during Trekking / Expedition. Should return back to the company after completing the Trekking / Expedition.
