Larkya peak or “Thulu Larkya La '' is classified as a group “A” expedition, according to the N.M.A. (Nepal Mountaineering Association). is situated in the Manaslu Himal range at an altitude of 6,219m. Attractively tricky and hard to find top to bottom with the wonderful panoramic view of the lofty mountain top like Manaslu 8163m, Ganesh Himal 7422m, Annapurna range, Himlung 7126m and Ratna chuli 7128m can be viewed. Thulu Larkya climb is challenging in terms of physical and mental endurance at a high altitude. The ascent of the peak is technically not so hard but above 5000m. just up to below the top the fixed rope is required which is long, that leads us to the summit, however, without the advanced technical challenges Thulu Larkya. Altogether, the three Larkya Peaks Larkya North (6200m), and Sano Larkya (5807m) provide their own thrilling expedition, suitable for climbers of varying levels and goals. This means Thulu Larkya climb or any other climbing peak around Himalayas require enough mountaineering technical experience to scale the trekking peaks.
During the Larkya Peak Climbing, you will be traversing the Manaslu region and its diverse biological diversity through picturesque villages offering stunning views of snow-capped Himalayan mountains like Mt. Manaslu 8163m, Ganesh Himal 7422m, Annapurna Range, Himlung Himal 7126m, Ratna Chuli 7128m and many more other snow capped mountains around. To reach the Larkya Peak, you have to cross challenging Larkya La Pass. There are three summits of Larkya Peak- Sano Larky, Larkya North, and Thulu Larkya. Among them, Sano Larky & Larkya North are the false summits.
The best and safest season for climbing Larkya Peak established times are in the milder months of Spring March to May and Autumn September to December. Accommodation will be provided in both teahouses and camping, depending on location.
