Situated at 6433m elevation above Sea level, Located in the South-East of Mt. Makalu 8485m at the Tibet border in the north of Sankhuwasabha District Sherson 6433m peak or “Peak-3” climbing is one of the best and rare ascent peaks in the Mahalangur Himal Range, which looks above 5800m to 6500m peak of Nepal Himalaya. Covered with snow, rock cliffs, and big glaciers around this peak. During climbing Mt. Sherson is required for 2 Camps (Camp 1 and Camp 2) set up in the glacier above the base camp. There is an unbroken peak till High point to Mt. Makalu 8485m like the Saldin 6375m peak, Yaupa 6432m Peak continuously.

  • Eminent religious sites and there is Arun Valley “The world’s lowest valley”.
  • Makalu Barun National Park consists of different kinds of flora and fauna and some of the rare species of birds and animals like the Red Panda and Spiny Babbler (in Nepali: Kaande Bhyaakur) which can be found only in Barun National Park.
  • The fascinating Himalayan ranges around Sherson 6433m Nuptse Himal range in the South, and to the north continuously from Nuptse we can have the view of Mt. Chamlang 7319m, Mt. Baruntse 7162m, Mt. Everest 8848.86m, Mt. Lhotse 8516m and Mt. Makalu 8485m and some other worlds highest snow-capped mountains.

Itinerary

Arrive at any time, Xtreme Climbers vehicle and represent we'll pick you up from Tribhuvan International Airport and take you to the hotel. Your included activities consist of refreshments, an introduction to your guide, as well as an introduction on The Trek.

There is nothing to do but trade emails with your travel companions and organize your photos. A representative from Xtreme Climbers will take you to the airport, approximately 3 hours before your scheduled flight. On your way home you'll have plenty of time to plan your next adventure in the wonderful country of Nepal.

Cost include Cost includes
  1. Transportation: Required necessary arrival and departure transfer services to and from both Domestic and International flights as per itinerary.
  2. Hotel Accommodation in Kathmandu: 2 Nights 3***Hotel accommodation in Kathmandu on B/B basis.
  3. Permits: Required necessary Expedition Royalty and climbing permit of Nepal Government to climb Mt. Sherson (6433m) DoT. Trekking Permit (Makalu Barun National Park entry fee). TIMS card (Trekking Information Management System) including Nepalese Government Royalty and fees.
  4. Flight Transportation (Domestic): Required necessary Flight Transportation from the Kathmandu-Tumlingtar-Kathmandu sector to all climbing members, Sherpa guide, liaison officer, and kitchen staff.
  5. Camps Tent and Equipment: Required necessary High Quality VE-25 North Face Tents for camp 1 and 2 Shovel, Rope, EPI Gas, Gas Burner (MSR Reactor), High Food, etc for members and staff. Required necessary High-quality Trekking and Mountaineering equipment such as Kitchen, Stores, Dining and Toilet Tents, Cooking utensils and Tables, and Chairs for base camp. 
  6. Tents at Base Camp: Individual VE-25 North Face tent for each expedition member available in the ABC.
  7. Climbing Equipment: Necessary Common climbing equipment (necessary fixed and main rope, ice bars, ice screws, snow bar, etc) 
  8. Maps: Trekking and Climbing map of Mount Makalu. 
  9. Base Camps Assistant: Professional Cook and kitchen assistant at base camp.
  10. Meals and accommodation during Trekking: 3 meals a day: Breakfast, lunch, and Dinner with tea/coffee available at the tea house/hotel/lodge during the trekking.
  11. Expedition Baggage: 50. kg baggage allowance per person during the trekking period, this will be carried by porters.
  12. XTREME CLIMBERS Equipment: Xtreme Climbers 120.ltr Duffel bags for each expedition member and for trekkers (2 members 1 Duffel Bag) Sun Hat and Mask will be provided.
  13. Climbing Sherpa Guide: Highly experienced and Technical government-licensed Climbing Sherpa Guide (Everest Summiter) per client.
  14. Insurance, Wages, and Equipment: Equipment, medical, and accidental Insurance for all involved staff in trekking and expedition including their wages.
  15. Liaison Officer: Equipment allowances and wages for government L.O.
  16. Communication: Satellite phone carried by Guide for communication and available for members at a cost of USD per minute.
  17. Solar panel / Generators / Heater: Solar panels for light and battery charging and Heater will be provided at base camp for heating the dining room.
  18. First Aid: First aid medical kit for the group and the staff.
  19. Emergency Oxygen / Mask / Regulator: Bottles of Summit Oxygen will be reserved at BC for emergency use (appropriate additional cost will be applied) with the latest model of Summit mask and regulators will be provided upon request of the client with appropriate charge.
  20. Medical and Emergency Rescue evacuation: Helicopter rescue insurance for high altitude climbing Sherpa guide, Cook, and staff.
  21. At Base Camp and camps above: Fresh cooked food and a kitchen will be provided at Base camp and camps above EPI Cooking gas stove, Cooking jet boil sets and high food will be provided.
  22. Summit Certificate: Yaupa summit certificate “DoT” after the successful ascent over the mountain.
  23. Farewell Dinner: Farewell Dinner in a tourist standard restaurant hosted by XTREME CLIMBER’S in Kathmandu.
  24. TAX and Service Charge: Our minimum service charge and Government Taxes are levied in Nepal.

  16. Nepal custom duty for import of expedition goods.
  17. Summit bonus for climbing Sherpa Guides as per Mountaineering Association rules. Minimum US$ 900.00 per climbing Sherpa guide.
  18. Tips and gifts for base camp and high altitude trekking and climbing staff.
  19. Any extra services or products or offers or activities that are not mentioned in the itinerary or any other item not included in the “Cost Included” section.

NOTE: Climbing Gears and Equipment belong to Xtreme Climbers used during Trekking / Expedition. Should return back to the company after completing the Trekking / Expedition.
