At precisely 3:00 pm on March 25, 2025, a historic milestone in Himalayan mountaineering was achieved as the summit team successfully stood atop Sharphu IV (6,433m) in the remote Kangchenjunga region of Nepal. This remarkable achievement marks the first recorded ascent of this previously unclimbed peak, setting a new benchmark in high-altitude exploration and exemplifying the resilience, skill, and dedication of the expedition team.

𝐇𝐞𝐫𝐧𝐚𝐧 𝐃𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐝 𝐋𝐞𝐚𝐥 𝐁𝐚𝐫𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐬 (𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞)-A 58-year-old businessman, writer, motivational speaker, and mountaineer, Hernan has built a strong partnership with Lhakpa Chhiri Sherpa over the past eight years, successfully climbing multiple 8,000m and 6,000m peaks across Nepal, Tibet, and Pakistan. According to Hernan, Sharphu IV was his greatest mountaineering achievement due to the extreme risks involved, including avalanches, seracs, and crevasses above 5,000m. He described Sharphu IV as a "mini Annapurna"—incredibly demanding but absolutely rewarding.
